Heavyweight organic cotton, embroidered at the left chest with the Departmental insignia: the hard hat, the rule, the name. Worn over the polo, under the overshirt, or alone when the day is uncomplicated. Nothing on the back.

Issued in French Navy and Bottle Green. Warm enough for a site visit in March, sober enough for the committee that follows.
